INFERIORITY COMPLEX

Inferiority complex is one of the major causes of depression. Inferiority feelings are complex emotions that usually indicate perceived weakness and helplessness. Some call it inferiority complex, others call it low self esteem. One telltale sign of inferiority complex is constantly comparing yourself to others. Another is believing you are not good enough. Some of you have been spending your time comparing yourselves to people, seeing them do things you want to achieve, yet not achieving those things because you feel you're not good enough or you don't have the potential. You might not have known but that's inferiority complex. Inferiority stops you from moving forward. It makes you stagnant. Chances are that you've experienced self- doubt and uncertainty at some point, it's totally okay. It's normal to struggle with feelings of inadequacy every now and again but when that feeling becomes a crippling fear of not matching up to others, it could signal inferiority complex. If you've been wanting to give up easily, assuming the worst in every situation, feeling the need to withdraw in social situations or often looking down on yourself, there certainly are ways you can help yourself overcome them. If at all you want to be the best version of you, then you have to overcome inferiority.
The first step to overcoming inferiority is believing you can do it. There's a popular saying that goes; “if you believe it, you can achieve it". You don't need anyone to tell you that you have the potential in you. All you need do is believe in yourself.
Another step is making fewer comparisons. It's totally okay to set your bars by wanting to be like someone who is higher than you. It helps you if you do it positively. To overcome inferiority, do not compare yourself to every person you see or think may be better than you. Compare only to the person you are sure is better than you and aim to be at that level or better ( not necessarily over competitiveness).
Practice gratitude. Appreciate yourself every step of the way. Acknowledge your little achievements and encourage yourself to do better.
Give yourself a chance to do what you've been scared of doing. A chance to make that decision you've always been scared if making. Accept yourself for who you truly are and focus on achieving your own goals.
Without inferiority, the sky would only be your starting point. If you can dream big,  then why let inferiority stop you from achieving those big things. Think about it again. You're made for bigger things. Don't let inferiority stop you.
