Today let's talk about stigmatization. What does it feel like to be stigmatized? What exactly is stigmatization? Stigmatization is the act of seeing someone in a negative way because of a particular characteristic or attribute or even a mistake. It maybe cultural background, disability or a mental illness. Stigmatization has harmful effects on the individual such as Feelings of shame, hopelessness and isolation Reluctance to ask for help Bullying, physical violence or harassment Self-doubt. In some cases, stigmatization could also lead to suicide. If you are someone who stigmatizes people, you should stop. Your actions can mar the individual.
